Class Cancellations

In the event that a class needs to be canceled, students will be notified by phone and email. Refunds or credit vouchers will be issued. See the refund section below for more information.

Refund Policy

If you can not attend a class and need to cancel, you must do so at least two weeks in advance to receive a full refund. Absolutely no refunds will be given if the cancellation occurs within 7 days of the class beginning. If a course is canceled by Shoreline Adult Education, refunds will be issued in full. If the course was paid for with a credit card, the refund will be returned there. If the course was paid for by check, the check will be destroyed. If the course was paid for with a credit voucher, the value of the credit voucher will be restored. Credit Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.

Weather Cancellations

In the event of inclement weather, in-person classes are canceled in accordance with the Branford Public School System. Information on school closures can be found on NBC Connecticut, WFSB, WTNH, and Fox61. You will also receive a call from a member of the Shoreline Adult Education staff to confirm the cancellation.
