Below are some useful links to resources that you can use to prepare for the naturalization interview and exam from home.

  • EL Civics for ESL Students has a wide range of civics topics including the three branches of government, the Constitution, Washington DC, holidays. The site is very student-centered, with additional quizzes and crossword puzzles.
  • Vocabulary for the Naturalization Interview Quiz 1 and Quiz 2 will help students learn the challenging words on the N-400 form and interview.
  • Preparing for the Oath: U.S History and Civics for Citizenship has interactive videos, quizzes, and word lists.
  • Essa Group is a group of volunteers whose YouTube channel provides video resources to help people navigate the U.S. naturalization process and gain U.S. citizenship. There are many video playlists on Civics, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, N-400 Instructions, and more. Their information is regularly updated in conjunction with the USCIS website.
  • USCIS's official website contains lots of information on applying for your green card, applying for citizenship, studying for the citizenship test, and much more. Most of the content can be translated into other languages.
